Exclusive palace built at the end of the 19th century and concluded in 1906, integrated into a farm that produces "vinho verde". The farm extends for about 370,000 square meters of land. It is located next to the Ave River, in the bucolic vineyard landscape of Entre Douro and Minho. It was built by Francisco Antunes Guimarães, in honor of his beloved Beatriz.
With an innovative architecture of romantic nature, not very common in Portugal at that time, the property has an impressive refinement, and causes an impact due to its grandeur and impeccable state of conservation. The palace has four floors of absolute refinement and a sublimely crafted wooden staircase. Inside, there are several superior features, such as the hand-painted walls and ceilings, large spaces, ornaments, and luxurious furnishings that are still the meticulously preserved 19th century originals. On the outside, we can see the granite craftsmanship throughout the palace, the statues that mark the entrance, and the harmonious, well-tended gardens that surround the entire space. The farm has extensive vineyards - its capacity exceeds 140,000 liters per year, an average of 16 barrels. It has a modern cellar in operation, installed at the "Casa Nova". The property also has a building built in 1898, attached to the palace and recently restored, a farm, a cowshed, a rural museum, a river beach, a wooded area with several ornamental and tall trees, and a granite swimming pool. The property is 50 minutes away from Porto′s airport and 30 minutes away from the center of Braga.
