Cabrera de Mar is a municipality and town with all the advantages of being located between the sea and the mountains. Its location on the coast of the Maresme has been a great strength throughout its history, from its Iberian origin, and later, in its Roman settlement, which has left rich archaeological sites. Its main population centers are concentrated in the center of town and the Pla de L’Avellà, as well as Veïnat de Agel which are scattered farmhouses and farmland. Other urbanizations closer to the sea are Costamar, Bonamar and La Franja.
