land complex, measuring an area of 18 hectares, the previous property
of King Aleksandar Karadjordjevic and his wife, the Romanian princess, and the
Yugoslav Queen Mary.
The park, royal
summer residence, and several smaller villas for officers and servants were
built between 1934 and 1936, in the area surrounding the two most beautiful
beaches on the Adriatic, which are a part of Milocer Park, today known as
Queen′s Beach and King′s Beach. After the second world war, the estate was
transformed into a luxury tourist resort, which, together with St. Stefan, was
visited by hundreds of celebrities from around the world.
Today, except for
these two villas, there are no other private facilities in the area of Park
Milocer.
The villas are
surrounded by diverse Mediterranean vegetation.
